Tina the Warrior princess is pregnant and her slacker husband, Pewfell, has accidentally blown up their house. In order to pay the bills, he must take a job as a wizard with the city sewer patrol .

Pewfell is a humorous comic book series set in an epic fantasy world. It stars inept wizard Pewfell who lives in the fabulous city of Spirekassle. He's married to Tina the Warrior Princess and is landlord to a small blue gnome who hates him.

Pewfell is written, illustrated and published by me, Chuck Whelon, with additional material by my occasional co-writer Adam Prosser. It's rated PG-13 for occasional mild sexual situations, nudity, magical component abuse, gambling, and general anarchy.

This issue issue sees the start of the fourth and final volume of the series. We've jumped ahead a little in time to find that Tina the warrior princess is pregnant and Pewfell's about to become a father (reflecting the semi-autobiagraphical nature of the strip). Volume 4 is really the high point of my work on the series, and I definitely consider it to be my Magnificent Octopus. It's the longest and most complex, in terms of story, and it's the funniest too. It's also where I began collaborating with my co-writer Adam Prosser. If you've read the earlier stuff (in issues 1-4), I hope you'll also take a look at this story and see where things ended up, as my artwork and storytelling developed quite a bit over the years I worked on the strip. There's a slight change in the style, as I began to work in a daily strip format again. However, I revised and reformatted the original black and white web-strips quite considerably when I colored and formatted them for their appearance in print. You'll note that there are now a lot more panels per page, so these last 6 books are much meatier than the earlier issues. Go on, you know you want to.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.
Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
