I've been a fan of the OzFoxes for years and I hope this comic is just the first of many that they'll be producing. It's definitely got the flavor (and the art style) of Disney's ROBIN HOOD. The art is beautiful, the characters are easy to like and the story is a good clean fantasy that's suitable for all ages. The plot is also similar to the Disney movie that appears to have inspired the comic; in both cases a villain usurps the throne of a medieval kingdom, and it's up to some green-shirted, arrow-shooting foxes to stop him. One difference is that, in this case, the villain isn't a whining mama's boy like Prince John; the ShadowWood villain is far more sinister. And there's no comic-relief sidekick, a la Sir Hiss, nor a damsel in distress, a la Maid Marian. This tale is a bit more serious in tone than the ROBIN HOOD movie. But it's still a fun read and I highly recommend it.

If you are a fan of Disney’s Robin Hood, Foxes and or traditional animation then you will love this tale!!

Produced by the Ozfoxes who are perhaps best known for the world renowned foxy webcomic Faux Pas, this is their first published comic book which has been in various stages of development for over thirty years. You can clearly see the Disney influence in the lovely illustrations/artwork and the author has worked very hard to create an original adventure with a nice cast of different characters. Whilst at only 48 pages, the main story is short but it has been left wide open at the end with the indication that there could be a follow up sequel (the reviewer hopes anyway!). The additional bonus art is most welcome and complements the glorious full colour covers and the overall size of the book in the hand is very good.

I’m sure this will not be the last publication by the Ozfoxes and I very much look forward to what else they will share with us all in the future.

A very nice original comic to add to your library!
