Adventure Town Inns and Adventure Town Taverns are two awesome products if you want to create a "home away from home" for your PCs, such as the inn they keep returning to as they delve a megadungeon. A few reviewers have commented about some limitations like a lack of upstairs and down (Taverns), a lack of sizeable common areas (Inns), and so on. All of those issues can be easily solved by combining the two sets, which use the exact same cobblestone and wooden floor patterns. With the bonus tiles, you can also create L-shaped (or U-shaped) buildings. This fit my needs perfectly and is a great addition to the Skeleton Key Games lineup.

This set tries so hard and ultimately it comes up just a bit shy. This set can really only be used to create very heroic inns, not medieval inns in any fashion. These are large and soaring inns with grand entrances. If this is your style then this will suit your needs, but if you want to be able to create from town inns you will be disappointed - the sizing is only grand and better (the Ritz of fantasy inns).

a) Very few entrances

b) Windows everywhere

c) No blank cobblestone - again you have to purchase another set (row houses).

d) Seriously, Adobe has a layering function and it would have worked wonderfully to break up the blander tiles.

This product is exactly what it says it is; an inn. I needed a map of an inn the last minute before a session, and this sufficed. The quality of the illustration is good, and the map is sufficiently detailed. It prints well in black and white. With a little creativity, the map is fairly customizable, too.

The production values are superb, as is the norm for SK products, and I am overjoyed at the entry into the city landscape, and strongly urge their expansion.

That said, this set is lacking in common room areas and support areas such as kitchens, pantries, and the like. I hope the future expansions will correct this.

In all, this is still a good value for the money.

Lovely set with ample accomodation for any group of adventurers, plus some nice unique rooms, such as the food preparation area.

I really hope that some more town-based tiles appear soon, eg streethouses with alleyways, shops etc

LIKED: Variety of tiles

DISLIKED: Only a couple of stair tiles, would like to see more of these.

QUALITY: Excellent

VALUE: Very Satisfied
