I read through the entire thing. Most of the book is entirely fluff, with very little of it relevant to actually roleplaying the gargoyles. For example, Abhorence is given a lot of nuances, but most of it wasn't really evocative of gargoyles in art or legend. In particular, the section detailing the various gargoyle factions was way too happy, as if this wasn't a horror setting. Indeed, the whole book didn't have any horror elements in it at all.

I was not impressed with this book, and consider it a waste of money. Dammit.

Fantastic book. Literally blew my mind like WW used to in the old days. The story was great and made sense with the existing metaplot, giving me a reason to finally use these damn things. What more can you ask for?

Thats kinda the catch, if there is any. There's honestly at least two books worth of infomoration here. It should have been a Clanbook and a series of Gargoyle-based adventure supplements.

It has some formatting issues that take away from its, but its all made up for in content. And thats what matters most.

One of the best storyteller vault products, that is availible. The book does a wonderful job flushing out the Gargoyle Bloodline. The new attribute is an interesting addition to the mechanics of the clan. In addition the book provides new merits, flaws and disciplines. The book also gathers the various sub bloodlines of gargoyles into one book, and introduces several new sub bloodlines that we found exciting to explore. In addition the books provides stats for numerous prominent gargoyles.

The book also goes into a detailed history of the gargoyle line, which helped fill in a lot of gaps from the original histories.

The layout of the book is quite well done, and the lack of art isn't to noticeable. Its a quality work that should be a staple of all storyteller's libraries.

By far one of the best clanbooks found in Storytellers Vault! I've always liked the Gargoyles and wanted to know more about them, and this book lives up to my expectations. It contains detailed and very rich information, including history, mechanics, new powers and disciplines, very well balanced and absolutely indispensable for any storyteller or player who wants to know more about the Constructs. The layout and organization of the book are also impeccable, although there is no original art, this does not diminish anything in quality or appreciation. Five stars!

The book overall is a great buy, the amount of value packed inside is worth its price (honestly should be $10 minimum and I'd pay that happily).

The content overall is great, it condenses the lore of the Gargoyles into one book, offers some new content in the form of a new Attribute (optional). some new merits and flaws.

I'd be more excited about the Disciplines content but 3 of the 5 Elder Disciplines are from the 1st Edition book and are updated, 2 are new so there isn't much in the way of new abilities. The Combination Disciplines are a nice touch 3 are brand new, one is actually an Elder Discipline converted to a Combo Discipline.

One of the biggest hits against the title for me is the lack of built in references (so I can just click on a name in the Table of Contents and jump to it while on smart devices) or a lack of Bookmarks (for when I'm on a PC or laptop). A more fleshed out Table of Contents would be greatly appreciated as well. I ended up adding my own after purchase just so I could properly jump around and review things easier.

Thank you for the review, Zachary! What you've written is the sort of feedback we would hope to receive. We did attempt to put in the references, but clearly we need to go back and see what went wrong there. We intend to fix that issue, as well as provide bookmarks and expand the contents to match current Onyx Path standards, in our first update which should be coming in a week or two. Since you mentioned them, more Discipline powers are not an impossibility. There were a few that got left on the cutting room floor which we can go back to later down the line. - Sam
