I really like this scenario. The premise is interesting, the layout is clean, and the text is easy to follow. It works great as a one-shot convention scenario, and I recommend it.

I love Horror Tabletop RPGs and I have read, played and run a lot of them. In a very short time Fright Night has become one of my favorites. The system is simple (d6 pool with 5 or 6 as a successes) and I love the way you can randomize some of the components of the story to keep Main Characters and Directors on their toes. With the options contained in this book, your games become a fun exercise in improvisation and story building, although you could pick and choose whatever components you need to tailor your Movie to your liking. It is a quick read and the price is more than reasonable. Pick up a copy, have a look at it and run your own horror story with Fright Night.

The Sea Devil is the perfect hook to start a marine related campaign. Great addition to tye Strike Files!

If you want to run a game using SUPERS! Revised Edition, Black Ice is an excellent introductory escenario. My players enjoyed the story and they had the oportunity to deepen their knowledge of the system. Believe me, it has it all!

Great rules lite horror game. The author clearly knows the genre and the system is tailored to take advantage of all the tropes of horror movies. To top it off, the price is unbeatable. I will be waiting for more material to use with Fear Response!

Haunted House es un juego de rol con un sistema sencillo que te permite preparar partidas ambientadas en el genero de terror con o sin preparacion previa.

La generacion de personajes pasa por el reparto de puntos entre Caracteristicas (de las que deribaran los Puntos de Vida, de Shock y de Aguante) y Campos de Experiencia. Una vez tengas los puntos asignados, a eleccion de un arquetipo definira aun mas al personaje creado, completandose con equipo e historia personal. En alrededor de media hora puedes tener tu reparto preparado para el horror.

El sistema de juego se basa en una tirada de 2d6 sumandole la caracteristica y campo de experiencia apropiado intentando alcanzar un resultado de 12 (modificable por el Anfitrion). Cabe destacar el hecho de que a medida que los personajes vayan avanzando en la Aventura, adquiriran Puntos de Destino Funesto, que ayudan al Anfitrion a la hora de hacer que “algo malo” le pase a los personajes. Teniendo en cuenta que las tiradas de Shock hacen que los personajes se separen y se pierdan en los escenarios, la pila de cadaveres ira aumentando con cada tirada. Pero no hay que preocuparse, el Juego de Los Muertos permite que algunos de los personajes vuelvan a aparecer como fantasmas en el juego. Ademas, las listas de victimas en las peliculas de terror suele ser extensas, por lo que los jugadores deben estar prevenidos de lo que les puede ocurrir a sus alter egos.

A mi modo de ver, donde este juego brilla mas es en la creacion de escenarios: casas encantadas, castillos olvidados, trenes misteriosos, colegios malditos y astronaves perdidas. Mediante una serie de tiradas y un efectivo modo de dibujar los mapas los escenarios toman forma, ayudando al Anfitrion a crear la historia del lugar en cuestion, y llenarlo de Antagonistas y Accidentes para desgracia de los personajes que se adentren en el.

Haunted House es totalmente recommendable para los amantes de las peliculas de terror. Te da las herramientas para crear personajes y partidas con facilidad, siendo el juego perfecto para pasar la tarde o para jornadas. Aunque el juego esta pensado para partidas autoconclusivas, yo cree una campaña con cuatro de las ambientaciones sugeridas en el manual y mis jugadores lo pasaron de miedo, con miedo.

A story is only as good as its villain.

Gallery of Evil is all about enriching your world with an impressive array of villains. It gives you what you need to make your Issues memorable, a good array of menaces to make your heroes quake in terror and sweat trying to stop their mischievous plans.

Chapter 1 is a small section of additional rules to use with the villains of this book or any other character in the Capes, Cowls and Villains Foul system. It is very helpful and sets the stage for the rest of the book.

Chapter 2 lists solo villains, from street level crooks, to galactic menaces. I honestly think it is a good selection of adversaries for the heroes in your Issues. For each character you can find Traits, Complications, Factoids and Miscellaneous. The chapter also provides you with some tips on how to play each villain, the character’s background and, to top the cake, some Issue ideas that use that particular villain.

Chapter 3 is all about teamwork. There are four full super-villain groups and a duo of mercenaries, all with the same set of stats as the solo characters. Issue Ideas for each group are included and every good Editor could easily make any member of a team an individual menace.

Chapter 4 presents a new complete Issue Editors can use in their game sessions. It uses some of the characters of the book and it has the potential of becoming a very interesting campaign for your group of heroes.

As a bonus, there is a really special villain after Chapter 4. I will not spoil it for you, but it was a delightful surprise for me.

I really liked the variety in the adversaries listed in this book and the winks for comic book lovers that you can find in some of the characters. A word of warning: some of the villains in this volume are on the campy/humoristic side of the superhero world. It did not bother me, but some may be put off by this. There is enough information in this book to make even the quirkiest of villains the most feared menace in your imaginary universe (Has anyone heard of The Joker...?).

Gallery of Evil meets the expectation that the Kickstarter campaign created. It is all it promises and more. If you need villains for your Issues, or if you simply like reading about characters to spark your imagination, you should get this book. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
