Solid issue. I am a big fan of this artist. The panels are clean but detailed. Each character is very unique and appreciate the time the artist Caracuzzo put in with this series. The writer continues to keep the reader entertained with a clear understanding of what is going on. I like the 2 leaders of the vampire nations. They are so different and who knew they would be at war years later. This issue ending was WOW.

Like reviews but not spoilers in them. Will say that this issue was full of surprises. This issues moves to the year 1948 and can say alot has changed. The characters have changed their personalities. Yes, they are now vampires but over the years it is apparent that alot has gone on. Their are now 2 vampire nations and they are at war. The turmoil thoughout this issue is a clear sign that things are not going to fare well. This issue ends with a BAMM! The writing by Tabu is clearly defined and it all ties well together. The artist Giancarlo Caracuzzo gives you the facial expressions that reinforce the writing. The colorist Flavia Caracuzzo excels at the use of contrast between light and dark. The coloring is vital to this story and well done.

Issue 0 left us with a cliffhanger. The gift of eternal life has been given to Pythagoras. Not that Pythagoras was given the choice. The decision was made by Sofia, Medea and Zalmoxis. Issue 1 skips centuries ahead. It is now 1948. Vampire Nation is in full force. One group is headed by Sofia and the other by Medea. It is quite clear they are at war. The twist comes in with The Reaper destroying vampires. Who is the Reaper? What and who is he or she? Is it an army of humans or ? We will have to see that answer in the next issue. The writer piques our interest so we can start guessing. This issue shows the problems that the 2 Vampire leaders continue to have and how Zalmoxis decides to deal with. Good issue. Tabu has established each character with their strengths.
